Watch: Tom Hiddleston Shares Touching Message To Fans For Loki Finale

Well, that's three down, infinity more to go. Marvel Studios' latest TV series, Loki, concluded today with a mind-blowing finale that will leave fans reeling for days. The God of Mischief spinoff was one of the first Marvel shows announced back in the day and it's fair to say it's lived up to the hype. The trickster has always been one of the most popular characters in the whole wide MCU, and that's only increased with him now being the star of his own series.

With the six-part first season coming to an end, Loki himself Tom Hiddleston shared a touching message for Marvel fans on social media ahead of the finale. In the run-up to the episode, the official Loki Twitter posted messages from many of the show’s cast – including Sophia Di Martino (Sylvie), Wunmi Mosaku (Hunter B-15) and Richard E. Grant (Classic Loki) – but fans will most want to know what Hiddleston had to say in his. Check it out via the tweet below:

In a minute-and-a-half speech, the British star reflected on his journey as the character and made clear how much he appreciates the unending support fans have given his portrayal of the former villain over the past decade. Here’s what he had to say in full:

“Hi everybody. It’s Tom. I just wanted to say a few things ahead of the finale,” he began. “A couple of years ago, I think, when Loki was announced, and I said there was more mischief to make and there were more stories to tell and more to come. I was so aware that really the only reason that I’m allowed to play this character and have continued to be allowed to play the character is because of affection in which he is held by you.”

“And I know that everybody out there in the audience, the fans, I know that Loki means so much to so many of you, for so many different reasons. It has been my privilege to play him for as long as I have. It’s been such a delight to tell the stories in the way that we’ve got to and to introduce new characters. I just wanted to say thank you. Thank you for watching. Thank you for engaging. Thank you for going on Loki’s new journey and taking all of these new things into your hearts. Mobiles, and Sylvie, and Ravonna Renslayer and Hunter B-15. And let’s not forget Classic Loki, Boastful Loki, Kid Loki, and yes, of course, Alligator Loki. I’m aware he’s the superior Loki. I wouldn’t be here without you.”

Though fans will be having withdrawal symptoms next Wednesday, the good news is that Loki isn’t a one-off event like WandaVision and will be back for a second season, as confirmed by a tag at the end of the finale. We’re not sure exactly when that’s getting here, but it is being reported that Hiddleston will return in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, coming next March. All in all, we’ve definitely got a lot more to come of the Asgardian prince.

In the meantime, all six episodes of Loki can be streamed on Disney Plus now.
