FX’s hit anthology series American Horror Story is gearing up for another season and has just added Wes Bentley (Hunger Games, American Beauty) to the cast in a guest starring role.

Bentley will appear in a two-part Halloween episode tentatively scheduled to air in late October (21 and 28). He will be playing a character named Eddie, who, according to TV Line, is “a dark tormentor from Kathy Bates’ past who is hell-bent on revenge.”

The fourth instalment of American Horror Story is titled Freak Show and will center around the last freak show in America (Jupiter, Florida to be exact) circa 1952. Jessica Lange, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Angela Bassett, Frances Conroy, and Emma Roberts will be returning along with Bates and newcomer Michael Chiklis.

Chiklis will be appearing as the hot headed husband of Bassett’s character, who also happens to be the ex-husband of Bates’ character. It looks like once again Bates and Bassett will be pegged against each other within the context of the show. Other than that, character details are being released in limited quantities, but hopefully we’ll have more soon.

American Horror Story: Freak Show will premiere on FX in late fall 2014. Tell us, are you excited to see Bentley join the cast? Sound off below!
