There are plenty of drama series following first responders on the market, but Fire Country still manages to stand out.
Faced with competition like Chicago Fire, Emergency, and the instantly iconic 9-1-1 releases (seriously, Austinites, watch 9-1-1: Lone Star, it’s bad in all the right ways) Fire Country had its work cut out for it. Despite the high number of similar, if slightly altered, programs, however, Fire Country managed to worm its way into viewer brains and stay there.
With its first season officially in the rear-view, and a second season already approved, Fire Country fans have plenty to look forward to. While they await the story’s continuation in its next season, newcomers and established Fire Country fans can enjoy the show’s first season, which is officially available on streaming.

Fans of dramas, action dramas, and the constant supply of medical and medical-adjacent shows on the market are in luck. Fire Country offers up a familiar flavor of fast-paced drama, all while following the members of Cal Fire. Lead by Max Thieriot, who viewers may recognize from 2015’s Point Break, alongside Kevin Alejandro, Jordan Calloway, and Stephanie Arcila, the series injects just enough excitement and intrigue into the age-old procedural to keep viewers coming back for more.
Fans of the series can catch each of season one’s 22 episodes over on Paramount Plus, CBS TVE, or Amazon Prime in certain locations. If you don’t have a Paramount subscription, viewers can also rent the first season from the typical online retailers — we’d suggest Prime or Vudu — for around $20.
