Who plays Paz Vizsla in ‘The Mandalorian?’

Who is behind this recurring Mandalorian character?

Din Djarin isn’t the only Mandalorian in Disney’s The Mandalorian series. Throughout the series, viewers were introduced to other Children of the Watch followers such as the Armorer, and Clan Kryze survivor, Bo Katan. Not to mention, Grogu, also known on the internet as “Baby Yoda” is now a foundling in training after he chose to leave Luke Skywalker in The Book of Boba Fett and walk in the way of the Mandalore.

One of the Mandalorians that could be seen as Din Djarin’s rival is Paz Vizsla. He too was on Nevarro and wasn’t fond of the idea that only one of them could go out just to keep the coven hidden. And in season three, it was revealed that he had a son. This character also appeared in The Book of Boba Fett challenging Din Djarin, believing that he was worthy to wield the Darksaber.

So it seems like this other Mandalorian isn’t just some background character and will be a somewhat recurring character in the series.

Who plays Paz Visla in ‘The Mandalorian?’

While it’s unlikely that we’re going to see other Mandalorians remove their helmets, outside Din Djarin and Bo Katan, there is still an actor behind the helmet. Throughout the series, Paz Vizsla was played by Tait Fletcher. And while you might not see his face in the show, he did appear in other films and TV shows which indeed reveal his identity.

Fletcher starred in multiple huge TV shows such as Breaking Bad as Lester and Woodcutter in Westworld. He also starred in John Wick as Nicholai and in Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle as Scorpion Recipient. While Fletcher did appear in a handful of big-name projects, his previous acting experience was mostly background characters.

According to the actor’s IMDb page, he had multiple uncredited roles in a couple of big TV shows and films such as Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., We’re The Millers, and Free Guy. He also did a lot of background roles, unnamed characters that were simply labeled with numbers or “members.” So it’s great to see that Fletcher now has a recurring role in the series, even if his face isn’t revealed.

If you want to see more of Paz Vizsla, The Mandalorian season three is available to stream on Disney Plus.
