Exclusive Preview: Suicide Squad #34 Is Juan For The Ages

As a fellow fan of the Suicide Squad, I hope many of you will agree with me in saying that 2018 is thus far looking pretty good for our favorite group of misfits. I mean, not only do we have the Hell to Pay animated movie to look forward to this spring, but cameras are expected to begin rolling later this year on Task Force X's next big screen outing.

Still, all that awesomeness is a bit further on the horizon. But fortunately, we have something else to take in as soon as next week, because the next issue of the ongoing comic book series is set to continue with the latest chapter in the currently unfolding arc.

What’s kind of funny about this Juan character (seen in the gallery) is that he pretty much doesn’t belong here, but he’s caught up in this extreme situation which he’s not sure he’ll survive. In a sense, it’s like somebody dropped a surrogate for the (somewhat) average person into the crazy world inhabited by the likes of Harley Quinn, Deadshot and Killer Croc. Really, we doubt he’ll be sleeping anytime soon after facing down monsters that look like they’re spawned from the collective imaginations of H.P. Lovecraft and H.R. Giger.

For more info, be sure to check out the official synopsis below:

“The Chosen Juan” finale! With Harley, Deadshot and Croc out of commission, one last convict stands between the bloodthirsty alien armada and the annihilation of the human race: Juan! But what hope does a petty criminal have against such an unstoppable force?

Suicide Squad #34 arrives in comic shops next Wednesday, January 24.
