Gather up your spear or other weapon of choice as it’s time once again, to prove that you are the best warrior in the land.

Published by Spike Games and distributed by 345 Games (a division of Comedy Central) one of today’s XBOX Live Arcade releases is Deadliest Warrior: Legends. A sequel to last year’s downloadable release, Deadliest Warrior: The Game, it looks to build upon what 450,000 gamers enjoyed about its predecessor, by including tons of new content.

The wealth of new content this time around includes nine heroic warriors, new fighting options, a more precise projectile system, more arenas, a new campaign mode and a strategy game (Generals), which allows players to use the battle simulator featured on-air on Spike TV’s Deadliest Warrior.

In addition to improved graphics, the new game will also feature enhanced combat options and as players complete challenges and destroy rivals, they will unlock new weapons, enhance their fighting skills and encounter the brutal realities of gritty, true-to-life combat – like breaking arms and pushing opponents into pits. Players will also be treated to a surprise hidden character from the hit show and exclusive digital goods (i.e. avatars).

Developed by Pipeworks Software (a division of Foundation 9 Entertainment), Deadliest Warrior: Legends is now available on XBOX Live Arcade in North America, Europe, Australia, and Asia. It retails for 800 Microsoft Points – the digital equivalent of ten dollars. It will see a release on the PlayStation Network later this month.

Deadliest Warrior returns to television this summer, with 10 one-hour episodes on a new night with more unprecedented match-ups, including the first female warrior and first fantasy match-up. The action begins on Wednesday, July 20 (10-11p.m., ET/PT) on Spike TV.
