Nintendo‘s got big plans for Gamescom this year it seems, having released a long list of games and events that will be present at their booth when the event kicks off later this week. As you’d expect, more details for this year’s Pokemon Sun and Moon will undoubtedly be one of the highlights, especially as Nintendo are promising new gameplay provided by none other than Game Freak’s Shigeki Morimoto.
Other upcoming titles to be present include Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten Past and Mario Party: Star Rush, both of which will be playable.
With so many highly-anticipated 3DS games on the way in the near future, Nintendo‘s capitalizing on the fact by releasing several new 3DS colors for Europe, as well as two new 2DS bundles for Style Savvy: Fashion Forward and Yo-Kai Watch.

Splatoon Showdown
After battling each other over the last few weeks, only four teams remain in the ESL’s Splatoon Showdown tournament. The ESL, the world’s largest eSports company, will host the finals in co-operation with Nintendo on the Beta stage of the ESL arena in Hall 9 at gamescom on 17th August from 15:00 CESTNintendo Selects
Want to rediscover a Wii U game you missed the first time around? Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker, Pikmin 3, Super Mario 3D World, and Mario Party 10 will become the latest additions to the Nintendo Selects range for Wii U, representing some of the console’s most popular games, having sold a combined total of over 2 million units across Europe to date. New 3DS Mario Party will release in Europe on October 7, in Australia on October 8, and November 4 in North America. Speaking of games Japan goes nuts for, the remake of Dragon Quest VII will be shown, streamed, and playable. Dragon Quests fans should call in sick on September 16 in Europe and North America. September 17 for Australians.
