Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillermot confirmed during an earnings call today that their big E3 surprise title, Watch Dogs, will be released in 2013 as one of their “AAA” titles.

The publisher also stated that they will release the game on the PS3 and Xbox 360 “for sure”, in addition to the PC version that was demoed at E3 in June. A Wii U version has not been ruled out at this point but has also not been confirmed.

With less than two years of development under its belt it seems incredibly optimistic to think that Watch Dogs will be released next year, especially if the title delivers everything that Ubisoft is promising. Hopefully the publisher’s release window holds true, but don’t be surprised if it starts to slip a bit as we progress through 2013.
