Avengers: Infinity War Adds Another Black Panther Character

For a while now, we’ve heard that there will be a pretty substantial connection between Avengers: Infinity War and Black Panther. It makes sense, too, given that the two films are releasing in close proximity. But quite recently, we’ve begun to realize just how heavily tied together they’ll be.

For a while now, we’ve heard that there will be a pretty substantial connection between Avengers: Infinity War and Black Panther. It makes sense, too, given that the two films are releasing in close proximity. But quite recently, we’ve begun to realize just how heavily tied together they’ll be.

A few months ago, we learned that Shuri (Letitia Wright) might be showing up in Joe and Anthony Russo’s superhero extravaganza, while shortly after that, it was revealed that Man-Ape (Winston Duke) would be involved as well. Now, we’re receiving word that Shuri will indeed be making an appearance, as Wright herself confirmed as much via Twitter with the following message:

How Shuri will factor into the film is unknown, but leading MCU architect Kevin Feige has previously stated that “T’Challa’s story is very important to us as it links to the next Avengers films, which is why we brought it forward.” So we know that, in the chronology of MCU events, whatever happens in Black Panther will resonate within the plot of Avengers: Infinity War.

Not only that, but the cast of the movie is already vast, with the Guardians Of The Galaxy all playing their part, in addition to the core Avengers team – so we can assume that anyone appearing in the film is included for an important reason. After all, with this many characters involved, there will be no time for indulgent snippets of familiar faces from other films – everyone on screen here will have a purpose.

So, will Shuri battle for Wakanda in Black Panther, and then perhaps battle for Earth in Avengers: Infinity War? Could her involvement mean that Wakanda is the location of the sixth Infinity Stone? Time will tell, but Joe and Anthony Russo’s sure to be epic blockbuster is getting more exciting by the day.
