Remember last week’s creepy first look at The Cabin In The Woods? Yep, the trailer is even weirder than the poster.
From the minds of Joss Whedon and Drew Goddard, this films seeks to turn the typical horror movie on its head, and judging from the trailer, it might just succeed at that.
At first glance the scenario might look a little too familiar. A group of attractive young people (including Chris Hemsworth) renting out an old, abandoned-looking cabin in the middle of nowhere who soon find their little vacation has become a nightmare? Really? Don’t worry, that’s just Joss working his magic. The trailer starts out like this, but quickly dives into some weird sci-fi stuff. Is it just me or does it seem kind of like a supernatural Hunger Games situation?
Throw in some creepy creatures and a force field and we’ve got ourselves a horror movie. I, for one, can’t wait.
