JoBlo is reporting that Evil Dead director Fede Alvarez and Big Bad Wolves helmers Aharon Keshales and Navot Papushado are being eyed by Warner Bros. to direct Justice League Dark. In regards to these directorial candidates, they’re interesting choices and ones that sit very well with us. All three have shown a dark and gritty side with their previous efforts, and Alvarez in particular has displayed a knack for dealing with the supernatural thanks to his Evil Dead remake.

Between the three of them, they’ve got all the necessary skills to bring the characters of Justice League Dark to life on the big screen, and I’m sure that fans would be thrilled to see them take a stab at the material. Sure, it would have been great had Guillermo del Toro remained in the director’s seat, but this trio of filmmakers seem like they’re more than suitable replacements.

Like those casting rumors from earlier in the week, this hasn’t been confirmed just yet, and no one has signed a deal. Talks are underway, however, and with all of the Justice League Dark news we’ve been hearing lately, I suspect that it’s just a matter of time before Warner Bros. starts making some official announcements, so stay tuned!
