As soon as we heard that Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark would grace the cover of this month’s Empire Magazine, we knew it was safe to assume that there would be some quality Iron Man 3 images included. Luckily, the newest issue definitely doesn’t disappoint, as there are multiple quality photos in addition to the awesome cover.

The first image (above) shows Tony Stark standing next to his suit as someone motions toward it. The next image has Guy Pearce as Aldrich Killian standing next to Pepper Potts and looking perfectly pleased at how sinister he is. The last image has Stark and James Rhodes (Don Cheadle) looking intently past the camera.

The cover to the issue is pretty great as well. We’ve included that in our gallery in case you haven’t had a chance to check it out. It features Stark in his banged up Iron Man suit with sparks flying all around him.

We also have the latest character poster for the film. So far James Rhodes, Aldrich Killian, and the Mandarin (Ben Kingsley) all have been featured on posters, and now Pepper Potts (Gwyneth Paltrow) joins the party with a poster where she’s mournfully cradling a banged-up Iron Man helmet.

There’s a reason that Iron Man is the most popular of Disney’s Avengers. The Iron Man films have all been great, and there’s no reason to think that Iron Man 3 won’t continue that trend. The trailers have looked promising (excluding the way-too-brief Super Bowl spot), and from what we know, it seems like the story they chose for this film is an excellent one.

There’s a rumour circulating that the next trailer for the film will appear March 8th, before Oz The Great And Powerful. Even more interesting than the next trailer itself are the whispers about that preview containing first glance at Iron Man’s Hulkbuster armor. Exciting if true, but we’ll have to wait until the trailer release to confirm that one.

Check out all the images from the magazine and the Pepper Potts poster below, and then head to the comments section and share your thoughts on all this new Iron Man 3 material.
