Now that The Dark Knight Rises has finished shooting in Pittsburgh, the internet needs a new movie shoot to keep tabs on. So far, it looks like The Avengers is filling the void. This past week we’ve seen a few new images from the set which give us a look at a strange vehicle and our first glimpse of Iron Man.
While we don’t see Mr. Tony Stark himself, the images above show off the Iron Man costume, and Robert Downey Jr.’s stunt double wearing a mo cap suit. As for the strange vehicle, well, it looks very outer space like and it once again confirms our suspicions that The Avengers will be fighting an alien race of some kind, likely the Skrulls.
Honestly, while all this is interesting to see, I’m still waiting for that footage of the entire cast (well, our heroes) all together and in action. It’s great seeing glimpses of Thor here and Captain America there, but I really want to see how everyone looks on screen together. Just imagine Thor, The Hulk, Iron Man, Hawkeye etc, all in the same frame just teaming up on some baddies. It’s going to be awesome.
While we likely won’t see that until the full theatrical trailer is released, at least we have the set footage to tide us over.
