Jason Statham’s Sweet Ride Makes Its Appearance In Fast & Furious 7

Bits and pieces have been filtering out about James Wan's Fast & Furious 7 for some time now. We recently had a glimpse of one villain in the form of Kurt Russell, and Vin Diesel, ever one for teasing his next projects, has allowed various images to pop up on his Facebook page. Now, we have our very first look at baddie Jason Statham's sweet ride, courtesy of someone else's Facebook page: director James Wan.

Bits and pieces have been filtering out about James Wan’s Fast & Furious 7 for some time now. We recently had a glimpse of one villain in the form of Kurt Russell, and Vin Diesel, ever one for teasing his next projects, has allowed various images to pop up on his Facebook page. Now, we have our very first look at baddie Jason Statham’s sweet ride, courtesy of someone else’s Facebook page: director James Wan.

Statham’s character goes for the quintessential English cool with a gorgeous Aston Martin; the kind that James Bond would be jealous of. While we don’t get a full shot of it in Wan’s picture, there’s a good chance that I’ll go see Fast & Furious 7 for that single car alone.

Statham plays the nasty brother of Ian Shaw (Luke Evans), who was the villain in the last film. He’s none too happy about little brother’s death and is after Dom et al for some good old fashioned family vengeance. Kurt Russell’s villain character works in there somehow too. Could it be that the Transporter and Stuntman Mike will come together in some sort of perfect storm of villainy? Oh, I really hope so.

Other plot details are scant on Fast & Furious 7, but Wan and Diesel keep our appetites keen for more information. Very few of us go to these movies for the plots, though; we go for big fast cars and exercises in badassery. Just from the villains alone, I have no doubt that this film will have that in spades.

Fast & Furious 7 opens on July 11, 2014. You can check out the photo of Jason Statham’s Aston below, which James Wan is happily perched on.
