The Flash, Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Superman and Cyborg – together, they form the Justice League, which is about to become Earth’s last line of defense against the invading Steppenwolf (Ciaran Hinds).
Bringing together DC’s finest has proven to be fairly tricky, too, given Joss Whedon was brought in to oversee extensive reshoots involving most, if not all cast members –Â Kiersey Clemons notwithstanding. In fact, if those reports are to be believed, the two-time Avengers director has also nixed Deathstroke from Justice League, thereby fueling reports that Matt Reeves will ultimately choose a different villain for his standalone Batman film.
And amid reports that Justice League will be remembered as Ben Affleck’s final turn as Gotham’s Dark Knight, Barry Allen himself, Ezra Miller, has deemed the film’s cast to be a “gang of weirdos” who “really love each other through and through.”
Per People:
I love this gang of weirdos. We’re all very different humans and we really love each other through and through. I personally always feel that the goodness of what we create interpersonally on a set flows into the quantum fabric of the film. I trust completely in this very esoteric understanding.
Bouncing off that, Ben Affleck went on to discuss how each member of the team come together in the first place, and how their personalities differ from one another. It’ll surely result in some cracking energy between the cast, which goes some ways to explaining Affleck’s comments about JL allowing “more room for humor.”
Wonder Woman is very powerful, Aquaman is very badass — he’s got very strong and stubborn energy. Flash is a lot of fun and full of life and Cyborg is just a very smart and independent person. And we have some new vehicles that are really awesome, like the Flying Fox, it’s so big that it can transport the whole League and can carry a Batmobile.
Justice League will be with us on November 17th, and if you’re wanting to go up close and personal with your favorite DC icons ahead of release, look no further than yesterday’s high-res character posters.
