Vintage Fan Art Paints Leonardo DiCaprio As A Young Stan Lee

In light of rumors linking Leonardo DiCaprio with a Stan Lee biopic, BossLogic has produced a piece that imagines the latter as the Marvel legend.

Few creators hold a candle to the great Stan Lee.

All throughout his decorated career, the Marvel legend has produced a whole host of colorful characters for the comic book outfit, while his later years have paved way for a series of rib-tickling cameos in Thor: Ragnarok, Spider-Man: Homecoming, and everything in between.

Even at 94 years young, Lee’s legacy continues to burn bright, and there have now been rumblings the Leonardo DiCaprio (The Joker, potentially?) has expressed an interest in playing the young Stan Lee for a future biopic. And though comic book fans have been left reeling by these allegations, BossLogic wasted no time in producing a rather vintage piece of fan art that paints DiCaprio as the young Lee – aviators and all.

Indeed, it’s been a busy few days for the renown artist, who rendered Priyanka Chopra as Catwoman (Gotham City Sirens) and Christian Bale as the Clown Prince of Crime over the weekend. For their latest effort, though, BossLogic favored a more old-school portrait for the young Stan Lee – which you can check out in the gallery down below along with that art of Chopra and Bale.

Not bad, eh? It remains to be seen whether these rumors of DiCaprio headlining a Stan Lee biopic gain any traction, but this is an impressive piece nonetheless. Word is that the Oscar-winning actor is a long-time Marvel fan, so there is perhaps no one more suited to a Lee-centric character portrait than Leonardo DiCaprio. We’ll be bringing you all the latest as this story develops, but for now, be sure to leave your own impressions via the comments.

Next up for DiCaprio is a feature adaptation of Stephan Talty’s crime thriller, The Black Hand, while Stan Lee has a small part to play in Taika Waititi’s all-star threequel, Thor: Ragnarok. Expect that one to light up theaters on November 3rd.
