Warner Bros. has released a new “Rooftop Fight” featurette for Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice which takes us behind the scenes of that battle between the Dark Knight and Man of Steel. Director Zack Snyder and star Henry Cavill both weigh in on the scene and we get to see some awesome new footage of it being filmed.
In the video, Cavill had this to say about what taking on the Ben Affleck’s Caped Crusader required in Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice:
“During a fight sequence where the person you’re fighting, because of the nature of their costume can’t see anything, you’re the one who has to be watching for punches. [You] try not to get hit in the face by a guy wearing hard plastic gloves, or vice versa.”
Say what you will about Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, but the fight between the two titular characters was worth the entrance fee alone, and this brief video offers up a very interesting look at the huge amount of work which went into a sequence which ultimately only lasted for less than ten minutes.
