Here’s How Quicksilver Could Return In Avengers 4

Recently, a new Avengers 4 rumor claimed that a long-dead hero would be returning to the MCU for the first time in years. Namely, Aaron Taylor-Johnson's Quicksilver, who was shockingly killed off after only one movie back in 2015's Avengers: Age of Ultron. But can we actually trust this rumor? Well, no, we probably shouldn't get our hopes up as the details of Quicksilver's return are sketchy at best.

Recently, a new Avengers 4 rumor claimed that a long-dead hero would be returning to the MCU for the first time in years. Namely, Aaron Taylor-Johnson’s Quicksilver, who was shockingly killed off after only one movie back in 2015’s Avengers: Age of Ultron. But can we actually trust this rumor?

Given that the details of Quicksilver’s return are sketchy at best, we’re not so sure, but it’s certainly possible that Pietro Maximoff could make a comeback in the Infinity War sequel. YouTuber Ryan Walsh AKA Webhead has even put forward an interesting theory as to why it might actually make a lot of sense.

Check out what he has to say in the video below:

Obviously, Quicksilver’s possible return dovetails neatly with the overwhelming theory that Avengers 4 will see the leftover heroes travel back in time to claim the Infinity Stones from the past in order to prevent Thanos from assembling them in the first place. As we know from set photos, it seems likely that the events of The Avengers will be revisited, as Chris Evans has been snapped wearing his classic Captain America costume.

Given that, it could make sense for the heroes to revisit Age of Ultron as well. Walsh believes that they might travel to some point within the film’s timeline in order to reclaim the Mind Stone, which played an important part in Joss Whedon’s sequel. During this portion of the movie, Taylor-Johnson could pop by for a cameo as Quicksilver and it’d feel organic and natural.

Walsh goes on to say that, seeing as Avengers: Infinity War featured a few welcome fan-pleasing cameos (like the unexpected return of Red Skull as the keeper of the Soul Stone), it makes sense that its sequel would do the same. It’s a good point, to be fair, as Avengers 4 is being called a celebration of the MCU’s first ten years and as such, it’d be nice to bring back as many familiar faces as possible.
