Safe House 2 Being Considered By Universal

safe house Safe House 2 Being Considered By Universal

After Safe House came up big at the box office earlier this year bringing in more than $200 million worldwide, it doesn’t come as much of a shock that Universal Pictures is throwing around the idea of a sequel.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the studio is bringing back David Guggenheim, who penned the original screenplay, hoping that he will strike movie magic again with a new script.

The original film starred Ryan Reynolds as a rookie CIA agent stuck babysitting a South African safe house. Just when things look hopelessly boring, he gets an unexpected guest in the form of rogue operative Tobin Frost (Denzel Washington), who decides to turn himself in after a decade on the run.

There is still no word whether Reynolds or Washington will return for Safe House 2 although it’s likely the studio will attempt to bring back at least one of the two, if not both.

Either way, we’ll keep you posted when we have more updates.

in my opinion there should be a safe house 2. because, there is still money on that file that Denzel was carrying. The head agency is taking in to testify, however he should go after Ryan for that money that was on the file. beside it was alot of money in there. you guys should try to get Ryan back so it can continues. so just when Ryan think it’s all over and he’s being married to his girlfriend and suddenly for things to turn around. That’s what I think, I’m looking forward for the next one.

I think a prequel would be more interesting.. It may be early in the movie franchise’s lifespan for a prequel, but with Danzel dying in the the movie, I don’t see any other way to bring him back…
