Selene Is Pulled Back Into The Eternal War In New Clip For Underworld: Blood Wars

Kate Beckinsale's Selene struggles to put some distance between herself and the eternal war in today's first clip for Underworld: Blood Wars.

The eternal war isn’t a battle one can easily walk away from. That’s a truth that dawns on Selene (Kate Beckinsale) in today’s all-new clip for Underworld: Blood Wars.

Hailing from Games Radar, here we see Beckinsale’s ancient hero having a heated exchange with Theo James’ David, who informs our kick-ass protagonist that her wayward daughter Eve has become a target for the Lycans, who want nothing more than to use her precious blood to empower their newfound leader, Marius. Selene may be finished with this war, but it’s certainly not finished with her.

Also starring Tobias Menzies, Trent Garrett, Lara Pulver, Clementine Nicholson, Bradley James and Game of Thrones alum Charles Dance, Underworld: Blood Wars represents the first entry in the cult franchise to be directed by Anna Foerster. A change of guard is arguably the one thing that the series was crying out for, but can Foerster’s franchise revival succeed where Awakening stumbled?

Come January 6, Screen Gems and Anna Foerster will usher in a new era for Lycans and Vampires alike when Underworld: Blood Wars opens in theaters. Can it pump fresh blood into the cult action series? We’ll find out soon enough, but until that time, you can go up close and personal with the cast and their ridiculously stylish costumes, below.

The next installment in the blockbuster franchise, UNDERWORLD: BLOOD WARS follows Vampire death dealer, Selene (Kate Beckinsale) as she fends off brutal attacks from both the Lycan clan and the Vampire faction that betrayed her. With her only allies, David (Theo James) and his father Thomas (Charles Dance), she must stop the eternal war between Lycans and Vampires, even if it means she has to make the ultimate sacrifice.
