Beautiful Star Wars: The Last Jedi Fan-Made Poster Surfaces

It's fair to say that the Star Wars franchise has produced some of the most beautiful movie posters of all-time ever since A New Hope landed back in 1977. The latest installment, Star Wars: The Last Jedi, has proven to be no exception - at least going by that red-tinted teaser poster. The often breathtaking artwork associated with the franchise has inspired many fans to get creative over the years as well and now, one talented individual has designed something that's worthy of the art department of Lucasfilm themselves.

Reddit user @shine_o shared the below image on the Star Wars subreddit and instantly made a big impression. We’re sure you’ll agree with us in saying that it’s an incredibly impressive effort. For one, the composition is hugely effective: Mark Hamill’s Luke Skywalker, doing his best impression of Chris Hemsworth from that recent Thor: Ragnarok poster, overlooks the rest of the movie’s ensemble. His two students, new apprentice Rey (Daisy Ridley) and his treacherous nephew Kylo Ren (Adam Driver), then take up the centre of the poster.

Below them we see Captain Phasma (Gwendoline Christie), BB-8, Carrie Fisher’s General Leia, Poe Dameron (Oscar Isaac) and John Boyega’s Finn. Kelly Marie Tran’s newcomer Rose Tico is also featured, as are the First Order’s new crimson class of Stormtroopers. In fact, the only important players missing here are Chewbacca, Snoke and General Hux. The baseline of the poster, meanwhile, reveals the landscape of Scarif, a planet which will be a major location in the upcoming sequel.

With Rian Johnson’s Star Wars: The Last Jedi arriving on December 15th, expect Lucasfilm to ramp up the marketing and promotion for the movie in just a few short months. Until then, however, take a look at this gorgeous new poster below and let us know what you think of it.
