Ocho Cinco opens with a deceptively radio friendly introduction, complete with catchy vocal samples and enticing synth progressions. But as the rising percussion gradually builds up to the drops, we’re treated to a surprising take on hardstyle, with pummeling gabber-style kicks and spiraling middle eastern melodies. DJ Snake’s usual hip-hop influences are still present, but it’s interesting to hear him covering some new ground on the collab.

If the new single is any indication of DJ Snake‘s forthcoming album, fans can rest easy knowing plenty of big material is just a few weeks away.
