Departing from their typical big room sound, this remix shows us a softer side of the producers, giving us a downtempo beat that’s infectious and groovy, making for a chilled out listen that’s a real treat for the ears. The tropical house sounds layered over a trap beat mixed with some horns and vocal loops make for a truly unique remix, one which displays the versatility of the DJs.

Quite frankly, it’s one of the best remixes I’ve heard in a long time and is a fantastic way for the boys to start off 2015. While the original “Real Love” is a great song in its own right, Alex and Drew’s beautiful and inspired take on it is very impressive and leaves us wanting more from the duo. Thankfully, we won’t have to wait long, as they’ve been working on a ton of original material and will be releasing a new single shortly.

In the meantime, however, check out The Chainsmokers‘ take on “Real Love” above, and be sure to pick it up on Beatport when it drops on the 26th.
