The next downloadable kombatant; Kenshi, has today been given his very own trailer of fists, pained expressions, blood, and colorful ass kicking. The deadly fighter will be on sale on July 5th for Xbox 360 and PS3 players.

This will mark Kenshi’s first appearance in the Mortal Kombat universe since the reboot. Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment hopes that by reinventing the franchise, old characters will suddenly feel like new ones, and will rekindle an interest.

That’s all well and good and I admire their attempts to return the classic fighter to its iconic roots but I find it more than infuriating to see them trying to re-sell old fighters to us when they should really have been on the disc in the first place. DLC (I’ve mentioned this before) should be EXTRA content, original characters, and fresh narratives, not this deprivation sales attitude.

However, it seems the more avid MK fans amongst you crave a more varied bloodbath to splash around in, yummy. For those of you who tick this box and can actually stomach the slightly twisted gameplay, check out the new trailer below.

Sorry, the video is currently unavailable.
