As tantalizing as they can often be, trailers, images and featurettes can only do so much to quell excitement for a hot upcoming project. In many cases actually, they can have the adverse affect and spur it all on to insatiable levels.
Rabid fans of The Walking Dead are feeling similarly antsy in that regard, with just a few weeks to go before the season three premiere of AMC’s hit show. But thankfully, keeping in the tradition of season two, the studio has released all four parts of their web miniseries, The Walking Dead: Cold Storage.
If you’re unfamiliar with these webisodes, season two’s was titled Torn Apart, and chronicled the very early days of the walker outbreak and the story of a woman named Hannah and her family. Hannah, as it turns out, will tragically become the legless zombie who is unofficially known as “bicycle girl,” the walker Rick Grimes dispatches in the season one premiere.
For The Walking Dead: Cold Storage we follow a survivor named Chase who flees to a storage facility after his fellow refugee becomes zombie chow. He is narrowly saved by an employee of the business named BJ (please hold your jokes), but as it usually turns out to be in apocalyptic fare, humans can be just as dangerous as the undead.
“Cold Storage” stars Josh Stewart (who had a supporting role in The Dark Knight Rises) as Chase, Daniel Roebuck (The Fugitive) as BJ and the lovely Cerina Vincent as a woman named Kelly.
Each episode runs from four to five minutes and collectively equates to a gripping short that serves as the perfect appetizer to The Walking Dead’s return.
Whet your whistle with all four parts below.
