First Full Trailer For Upcoming Arrowverse Crossover Teases An Epic Event

After a couple of short teasers and a shed-load of promo images that have arrived over the past week, the first full trailer for this year's Arrowverse crossover, titled "Crisis on Earth-X," is finally here. It'll be hard to top last year's union of Arrow, Supergirl, The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow, but this new promo suggests that they might just have managed it.

After a couple of short teasers and a shed-load of promo images that have arrived over the past week, the first full trailer for this year’s Arrowverse crossover, titled “Crisis on Earth-X,” is finally here. It’ll be hard to top last year’s union of Arrow, SupergirlThe Flash and Legends of Tomorrow, but this new promo suggests that they might just have managed it.

The preview above mostly focuses on the set-up of the crossover: there aren’t many events that could unite the heroes of Star City, Central City, the whole of history and Earth-38, but the wedding of Barry Allen and Iris West is one of them. It looks to be a classically schmaltzy affair, with Barry saying that he’s got his happy ending and Joe getting weepy while he makes a speech. However, some party-crashers are on hand to wreck the occasion – a horde of Nazi soldiers from the newly-revealed Earth-X, the dark world that exists apart from the 52 Earths of the Multiverse.

As the last teaser highlighted Green Arrow’s Earth-X counterpart Prometheus-X, the second half of this one sees twice as much Melissa Benoist, as Kara Danvers is interrogated by her doppelganger, Overgirl. Though he’s oddly not featured in this promo, we also know that Earth-X has its own twisted version of the Flash, named Blitzen.

The end of the promo reminds us that Wentworth Miller will be returning as Leonard Snart for what could be the last time. We’ve previously been told that he won’t be playing the familiar Captain Cold this time around – after all, he did die back in Legends season 1, so how many more times can they bring him back? – but rather, Citizen Cold, a more heroic version from another Earth. Thankfully, this clip shows us that he’ll still retain the demeanor of the Snart we know and love.

The Arrowverse comes together on the week beginning Monday, November 27th, with Arrow and Supergirl kicking off the event. The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow then conclude the crossover on Tuesday, November 28th.
