The Atom Returns In New Images From Next Week’s Episode Of Arrow

In all honesty, there hasn't really been a lot of suspense around the return of Brandon Routh's Ray Palmer in season four of Arrow. While the season three finale made it appear as if he had died, we knew even back then that The Atom would have a leading role in DC's Legends of Tomorrow, so a return in Arrow was only really ever going to be a matter of time.

In all honesty, there hasn’t really been a lot of suspense around the return of Brandon Routh’s Ray Palmer in season four of Arrow. While the season three finale made it appear as if he had died, we knew even back then that The Atom would have a leading role in DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, so a return in Arrow was only really ever going to be a matter of time.

Despite that, it’s still hard not to be excited about the learning how the fan-favourite character survived and ended up in the clutches of Damien Darhk. Next week’s episode of Arrow promises to answer that, and while a recently released promo teased The Atom’s return, we actually get to see him in the gallery of images above.

For more, here’s a synopsis of the episode, which is titled “Lost Souls”:

Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) is frantic when she learns that Ray (guest star Brandon Routh) is alive and being held by Damien Darhk (guest star Neal McDonough). Felicity’s guilt over not finding Ray sooner causes tension between her and Oliver (Stephen Amell). Meanwhile, Sara (guest star Caity Lotz) joins Laurel (Katie Cassidy), Thea (Willa Holland) and the team on a rescue mission for Ray. However, the effects of the Lazarus Pit take over and threaten to jeopardize the entire operation. Donna Smoak (guest star Charlotte Ross) returns to Star City.

It’s clearly going to be a big episode of Arrow then, and if you’re a Canary fan, she can also be seen in the gallery teaming up with her sister Black Canary. Season four of The CW series has been pretty much flawless so far, and it appears as if this instalment is definitely going to keep that momentum going.
