‘I literally feel so disgusting right now, bro’: Canadian woman says she found mold on her half-eaten Burger King Whopper

She was already halfway through the burger.

A Canadian woman has gone viral on TikTok after she claimed she discovered mold on a Burger King burger she had already eaten most of. TikTok creator Keziah, who posts under the handle @kommentarykeziah, shared the video with her followers, where it has since been viewed by over 47,000 people.

In the clip, Keziah is visibly distressed, covering her mouth and tearing up as she describes what allegedly happened. “I literally feel so disgusting right now, bro,” she said in the video. “I can’t even talk about it. It’s so gross.”

She then turned the camera toward the burger, showing what appeared to be a large green discolored patch on the bun, which she claimed was mold. “I ordered Burger King. I ordered a burger and it literally came with mold,” she said.

In the video, Keziah said she did not notice the alleged mold while eating because her room was dimly lit. “I didn’t see it. My room is dim, OK?” she said, visibly sniffling and retching. “I was just eating. Then, I looked down.”

In the text overlay of the video, she directed a message at the fast food chain, writing, “@BurgerKing COUNT YOUR MF DAYS!!! This is literally my worst nightmare.” She also tagged Burger King and Burger King Canada in the caption, writing, “I’m gonna throw up.”

Viewers responded strongly in the comments section. One person wrote, “burger was my first job & once we dropped all the beef patties on the ground and we were told to still serve them.” Another commented, “i literally got food poisoning from burger king so i feel u.” A third urged, “Call public health, take lots of pics….GOOO TO THE DR OR HOSPITAL and get it reported!!!” The incident adds to a string of viral moments tied to the brand, which has also recently faced mixed customer reactions to its menu choices.

According to the Cleveland Clinic, consuming small amounts of mold may pass through the digestive system without causing harm in some cases. However, the Cleveland Clinic also notes that symptoms such as shortness of breath, nausea, elevated temperature, or diarrhea can appear anywhere from minutes to days after exposure, and anyone experiencing these symptoms should seek medical attention promptly.

Since Keziah is based in Canada, her legal options differ from those available in the United States. According to the Government of Canada, incidents like this should be reported to local health departments and the Canadian Food Inspection Agency. The government also recommends contacting a doctor or local public health center for follow-up and appropriate treatment.

At the time of publication, there is no indication that Keziah has formally filed a report or pursued legal action. It is also unclear whether Burger King or Burger King Canada has responded to the video or reached out to her directly. Notably, Burger King’s president recently made headlines for giving customers direct access to his phone number for feedback and complaints, though it is not known whether Keziah has made use of that channel.
