CBS Shuffles Supergirl Episodes Amid Paris Attacks, New Promo Released

Following the tragic attacks on Paris, CBS has opted to pull the episode of Supergirl that was originally intended to air this coming Monday. The episode titled "How Does She Do It?" was to follow Supergirl as she thwarted several bombings throughout National City. Apparently, the network felt the subject matter hit a little too close to home and decisions like this are not exactly unheard of in the history of broadcast television.

In its place, CBS will air “Livewire,” a Thanksgiving themed episode originally intended to air on Monday, November 23. Featuring the villain of the same name, it’s an episode that many Supergirl fans have been looking forward to.

CBS has hastily released a promo video for the moved up episode as well as a plot summary, which can be seen below:

Kara’s Thanksgiving may be ruined when she suspects her foster mother, Dr. Danvers (Helen Slater), who is coming to town, disapproves of her new role as a superhero.  Also, when an accident transforms a volatile CatCo employee into the villainous Livewire, she targets Cat and Supergirl.

As of now, there’s no word as to if and when CBS will elect to air the pulled episode. Considering the synopsis mentions something involving James Olsen and Lucy Lane possibly rekindling their relationship, we can only hope that there weren’t too many major developments in said episode and viewing “Livewire” out of its originally intended order won’t be too jarring of an experience.

Tell us, Supergirl fans, do you agree with CBS’ decision? Furthermore, do you hope “How Does She Do It?” eventually airs? Let us know in the comments section below.
