The CW Releases Character Posters For Supernatural’s Wayward Sisters Backdoor Pilot

Ever since the midseason finale of Supernatural concluded, we the fans have been kind of left in the dark as to where the series would go next. Sure, we knew that a backdoor pilot for the Wayward Sisters spinoff was next on the agenda, but all promo videos being circulated were very, very vague to say the least.

Fortunately, things have started to turn around in recent memory. Just last week, we were treated to a new trailer and a clip taken from the returning episode now that it’s finally within reach. Plus, we learned that a renewal for a fourteenth season is more than likely, so it’s probably safe to say that 2018 is off to a fine start for the “SPN Family.”

And while today’s treat isn’t video footage, it does succeed in making us excited for what’s to come. Basically, The CW has continued circulating promo material on social media, this time in the form of character posters featuring the likenesses of the Wayward Sisters cast.

In the gallery above, feel free to indulge in individualized looks at familiar faces like Jody Mills (Kim Rhodes), Claire Novak (Kathryn Love Newton), Donna Hanscum (Brianna Buckmaster), and Alex (Katherine Ramdeen), as well as the recently introduced Patience (Clark Backo) and Kaia (Yadira Guevara-Prip).

For more on “Wayward Sisters,” be sure to check out the official synopsis below:

KATHRYN NEWTON, KIM RHODES, KATHERINE RAMDEEN, BRIANA BUCKMASTER, CLARK BACKO AND YADIRA GUEVARA-PRIP RETURN – When Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) go missing, Jody Mills (guest star Kim Rhodes) calls Claire Novak (guest star Kathryn Newton), the rebellious rogue hunter, and tells her it is time to come home – they need to find the Winchesters. Claire returns and reunites with Alex Jones (guest star Katherine Ramdeen), who has stayed behind with Jody and tries to balance a “normal” life with being a part time hunter.

While Jody is happy to have Claire home again, she’s plagued by Patience’s (guest star Clark Backo) disturbing vision involving her adopted daughter. Claire and Alex search for Kaia Nieves (guest star Yadira Guevara-Prip), the dreamcatcher responsible for opening the rift that Sam and Dean went through, as she holds the key to their whereabouts. Jody calls her friend, Donna Hanscum (guest star Briana Buckmaster), to round out the team and the women head off on the most important hunt of their lives. Phil Sgriccia directed the episode written by Robert Berens and Andrew Dabb (#1310).

Supernatural returns with new episodes on Thursday, January 18 on The CW.
