Expect To See Some Familiar Villains Return Before The Flash Season 3 Ends

The second half of The Flash's third season has revolved around Barry Allen's attempts to save Iris West from Savitar's wrath a few months into the future, but the Scarlet Speedster is going to have even more problems to deal with before then as it's been revealed that a variety of familiar (villainous) faces will be returning soon.

The Flash executive producer, Andrew Kreisberg, said in a new interview that some big names will be coming back to the show before all is said and done, and while he neglected to reveal who they are, he did seem to indicate that they’ll be a key part of where things are headed as we sprint towards the finale.

“We have a couple of recurring villains, one major recurring character. It’s funny. Every year, around this time of year, I feel like there’s this speculation, no matter what show it is, that we don’t know what we’re doing — maybe we don’t — but there is a plan. There’s always a plan on every one of these shows. We set stuff up throughout the years that’s going to be paid off. Whether you enjoy it or not is something different. But we’re really excited about where we’re at, how these revelations are going to come [out] and how everything gets wrapped up by the end of the year.”

It’s interesting to wonder who those characters could be, but with Barry set to return to the future a few weeks from now, it could be that Kreisberg is referring to new versions of villains who have so far only made their presence felt in The CW series in a small way.

That in itself will be great fun when you consider just how many bad guys The Flash has thrown at us in recent years, though it will also be nice to see some of the Fastest Man Alive’s other foes return in a different capacity as the rivalry between Barry and Savitar nears its conclusion.

Tell us, who would you like to see return to The Flash? As always, sound off down below!
