Just last month, fans’ wishes to see the Punisher join the Marvel Cinematic Universe came true with the sudden but exciting news that The Walking Dead alum Jon Bernthal would be taking on the role of Frank Castle in Daredevil‘s second season, and that he’d be one of the title character’s main adversaries.

Work on Daredevil‘s highly-anticipated return is already underway, as evidenced by some recent leaked set photos. Now, Bernthal himself has been spotted on set. These blurry photos snapped by a fan don’t reveal much, but they do give us some indication of what Bernthal’s Castle will look like and confirm that he’s currently in East Harlem for filming. Will we get to see him in costume with the iconic white skull on his chest? Time will tell, though I suspect that Marvel is playing this one pretty close to the vest and will reveal the first glimpse of the Punisher on their own terms.

Daredevil will return to Netflix in Spring 2016. Bernthal isn’t the only new casting addition, either. We recently learned that G.I. Joe: Retaliation actress Elodie Yung would be taking on the role of twin sai-wielding assassin/love interest Elektra. Hopefully she shows up on set in the coming weeks as well.
