Leaked Video Reveals An Alternate Death Scene From The Walking Dead Season 7 Premiere

The fact that AMC managed to avoid the identity of Negan's victims in The Walking Dead season 7 premiere (which aired last night) from leaking is nothing short of a miracle, but it appears as if they may have filmed a number of deaths in order to throw anyone who was there during shooting off the scent.

The fact that AMC managed to avoid the names of Negan’s victims in The Walking Dead season 7 premiere (which aired last night) from leaking is nothing short of a miracle. Sure, if you dug around deep enough on the internet you may have stumbled across some spoilers, but for the general public, those two deaths came as a complete shock. This is due in large part to the fact that the cast and crew filmed a number of deaths in order to throw anyone who was there during shooting off the scent.

As you can see in the video above, footage of Negan murdering Maggie has now found its way online. She was at one point clearly intended to be the villain’s first victim, and while Abraham had some choice words for his killer, the pregnant fan-favourite simply spits blood at Negan before he finishes the job in a brutal fashion.

Based on what we’ve heard since The Walking Dead season 7 premiere aired, the plan was always for Glenn to die, but seeing as he’s knocked unconscious during this scene, he would have presumably been killed by Negan upon waking up. Chances are though that Abraham was always going to be the first to go, and this and any other alternate death scenes were just red herrings to throw people off.

Whether or not AMC will officially release these “fake death” scenes that they might have shot is unclear, but they’ll likely end up appearing on the eventual DVD and Blu-ray release of The Walking Dead season 7. At least, we’ll keep our fingers crossed that they do.
