CBS has released the synopsis for their upcoming seventh episode of Supergirl, “Human for a Day,” and it reveals that Charles Halford (formerly Chas on the cancelled NBC Constantine series) will guest-star as “powerful alien escapee,” Jemm.

Though not specified, this is presumably the DC Comics superhero who is known as the “Son of Saturn.” The character was created by  Greg Potter and Gene Colan back in the ’80s and was originally conceived to be a cousin of the Martian Manhunter, but it was later decided that he’d hail from a completely different planet. The two have been allies in the comics, however, and Jemm has also been affiliated with the Injustice Gang following a Lex Luthor brainwashing incident.

Here’s the official synopsis, which also hints that Kara will be protecting National City without the use of her superpowers.

SUPERGIRL,” MONDAY, DEC. 7 “Human For a Day” – Kara and her friends must rely on their inner strength and courage when an earthquake strikes National City. Also, Alex’s mistrust of Hank reaches a breaking point when the earthquake traps them in the DEO with Jemm (Charles Halford), a powerful alien escapee.

Be sure to catch the next episode of Supergirl on Monday, December 7 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on CBS.
