Season 9 of The Walking Dead is beginning to take shape. And fast.
Ever since production kicked off late last month, Andrew Lincoln and Black Panther‘s Danai Gurira have been spotted on the streets of Atlanta multiple times over. Adding fuel to the fire today is Just Jared, after the outlet uncovered a series of set pics featuring the likes of Rick Grimes (Lincoln) and Michonne (Gurira) on horseback.
There’s close to 30 paparazzi photos embedded in the gallery below, so we should warn you: if you’re aiming to go into The Walking Dead season 9 with a relatively blank slate, you should proceed with caution, as some of today’s newly-unveiled images may contain slight spoilers for the story that AMC has rustled up – a story that may well allude to the Whisperers.

Among the cast list are Norman Reedus, Melissa McBride, Ross Marquand, Seth Gilliam, Alanna Masterson, Tom Payne, Sydney Park, Khary Payton, Pollyanna McIntosh and Laura Cohen, who was reportedly in two minds about returning for season 9 due to a dispute over pay. Those issues have since been settled, thank the heavens, ensuring Maggie Rhee will be back, back, back in a few months’ time.
AMC’s ninth season of The Walking Dead is expected to air sometime in October. If it’s more undead action you’re after, Fear The Walking Dead season 4 returns this Sunday with “Buried.”
