‘The Last of Us’ episode seven trailer provides a glimpse into Ellie’s past

Episode seven of The Last of Us is something you wouldn’t want to miss after it was revealed that Ellie’s past will finally be unveiled.

The episode is titled ‘Left Behind’ and is based on the DLC for The Last of Us video game of the same name. Just like the DLC, it will retell the story of Ellie’s life before her journey with Joel. When she was still in the Fedra Military School for Orphans, her friend Riley, and how Ellie became infected in the first place.

In the trailer, Ellie was promised to become a FEDRA officer if she follows the rules and stops getting herself into trouble. She is then reunited with Riley, who managed to get away from FEDRA and join the Fireflies. Both enter the abandoned mall that is presumed to be the location where Ellie was bitten by the infected, as explained back in episode two to Tess and Joel back in Boston.

In the original DLC, The Last of Us: Left Behind takes place three weeks before the events of the main story. And thanks to what was said in episode one, it seems like there will be no changes to the time gap between Ellie’s past and the show’s main story. Once this episode is released, viewers may finally learn what happened to Ellie’s birth parents and what her life was like before her interstate adventures with Joel.

Episode seven of The Last of Us is scheduled to come out on Sunday at 9 PM ET on HBO.
