A woman who claimed her pregnancy was 62 days overdue has caught the attention of netizens on TikTok who suspect that she may be faking the whole thing. Amanda Finch claimed she was pregnant with twins but said doctors at the hospital refused to deliver her children, and the internet has gone wild with speculation.
In a Facebook post from August 30, Finch wrote: “Weeeeellll today makes 62 days past!” She then asked if anyone else had gone past their due date and wanted to know what the doctors had told them. She also shared two photos that appear to show a pregnancy bump.
The comments underneath the post expressed disbelief regarding Finch’s claims. “This is giving maternal instinct vibes” wrote Facebook user, Laurs. “Smile, we’re going to be in a documentary!” added another person. Almost all the commenters doubted that the pregnancy was real, and other comments were much more negative, implying that Finch was mentally unwell and that she might try to take another pregnant person’s baby.
Amanda Finch has been posting about her alleged pregnancy for months now, although the situation has only recently caught the public’s attention. Screenshots of posts and comments allegedly made by Finch and shared by others show her claiming to be pregnant with twins and that the doctors refused to deliver her babies.
Concerns about Amanda Finch
According to TikToker “Truecrimekel” Finch arrived at the hospital with her bags already packed, but staff suspected she was “planning to take a baby from the hospital.” Security was also apparently called to remove her from the building. A similar incident occurred during a separate visit when doctors allegedly reported her as a threat.
The TikToker also shared that Finch had insisted that the due date was correct and had also previously claimed to be pregnant with triplets but had allegedly lost one of the babies at 12 weeks. Finch also reportedly has four living children, according to Truecrimekel. However, multiple CPS reports saw her lose her rights to three of the children.
When doctors allegedly told her she had spent years believing she was pregnant, she claimed it had only been 10 months and vowed not to return to the hospital. Since then, Amanda Finch has been documenting her “continued pregnancy” online, where she has received a lot of attention from people online. Psychological evaluations also found Finch to have “preservative” and “obsessive” tendencies.
There have been plenty of comparisons to Taylor Parker, who was the subject of the Netflix documentary, Maternal Instinct. Others expressed hopes that nobody in her life was pregnant for fear of what might happen.
