Amanda Bynes fans celebrate her comedic genius while awaiting the end of her psychiatric hold

Amanda Bynes fans feel robbed and they have very legitimate reasons why.

Amanda Bynes and her mother amicably agreed to end her conservatorship in 2022 and the actress seemed ready to move on with her life, making appearances and getting her acting career back on track. However, she was placed on a 72-hour psychiatric hold on Sunday after being found roaming the streets of L.A., prompting fans to reflect on the comedic genius that was stolen from them by an industry that is notorious for chewing people up and spitting them back out.

TMZ reports that Bynes made the call herself to the police after recognizing that she was suffering from a mental break. She was then taken to the hospital, where she was involuntarily placed on a 72-hour psychiatric hold that has since been extended for at least another week until doctors grant her a release.

Sources say that Bynes’ car was towed in Long Beach on Wednesday of last week, which is 25 miles from downtown L.A. where she initially appeared in a TikTok video that a fan posted a few days after recording it.

Unsurprisingly, an outpouring of support and well-wishes from fans has flooded social media, with many commending the actor for recognizing she needed to seek help.

Others elaborated further, suggesting that her actions are proof that reinstatement of her conservatorship isn’t necessary. Something that appears to have already been ruled out.

Others have wasted no time in blaming Bynes’ health on the entertainment industry’s treatment of her during her adolescence.

Naturally, support has also extended to reminiscing over Bynes’ terrific performances, with particular praise being heaped on her comic talent.

An official date or timeline for Bynes’ release from care has yet to be released. This article will be updated to reflect an official statement as and when it is provided.
