‘Most people are retired, but here I am’: 75 year-old action hero Arnold Schwarzenegger has no intention of slowing down

If anything, he's broadening his horizons by debuting on Netflix.

There’s no age limit on acting, with some of the greatest talents to ever grace the big and small screen continuing to work steadily well into their 80s and beyond, but Arnold Schwarzenegger is offering another reminder that it’s only a number when it comes to the action genre, too.

It’s fitting that he and Sylvester Stallone – who were self-diagnosed as “the last two tyrannosaurus” not too long ago – continue to dive into the arena of running and gunning that made them household names in the process, despite Schwarzenegger being the younger of the two by 12 months at a sprightly 75 years of age.

The Terminator icon would be forgiven for deciding to take it easy, then, but he’s opted to do the opposite and headline his first-ever TV series, with Netflix’s action comedy FUBAR premiering tomorrow. Speaking to Variety at the red carpet premiere, the Austrian Oak admitted that he knows time is catching up, but he’s happy to keep doing what he does best regardless.

“I just think that every stage in my career was an exciting stage. I know normally you wouldn’t think that when you’re 75 years-old that there’s an exciting stage because most people are retired, but here I am.”

The biggest question is whether or not Schwarzenegger will be interested in returning for a second season. After all, there’s no chance that FUBAR does anything but dominate Netflix’s most-watched list for some time to come, so there’s every reason to believe… as much as it pains us to say it… that he’ll be back.
