Tucker Carlson’s Twitter news show is even more unhinged than his Fox News tenure

Don't expect it to be different from his Fox News show. Just more outlandish.

After nearly two months since his departure from Fox News, Tucker Carlson launched his news program on Twitter with the intention of “not manipulating the audience” and giving “the full truth” in his reports.

Episode one of Carlson’s newest news program, titled Tucker on Twitter, was uploaded to the platform, and he gave a 10-minute report on the Nova Kakhovka dam explosion in Ukraine. The former Fox News presenter claimed that Ukraine “probably blew it up” and that Russian President Vladimir Putin wouldn’t destroy his own infrastructure, despite the mainstream narrative describing him as “evil.”

As someone who watched the entire program, what came out of Carlson’s mouth within those 10 minutes was nothing less than bizarre. He went from talking about a dam that blew up, to discrediting Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky‘s image, questioning the funds sent to Ukraine, the Black Lives Matter protests, the 9/11 attacks and all the way to stating that UFOs are real. He then blamed the US media for not covering the “important questions” and said that “Americans are now living in ignorance.”

As of writing, episode one has received nearly 38.4 million views and has been retweeted over 122k times on the platform. Despite Twitter owner Elon Musk debunking the claims that Carlson was not signed on to the platform, he praised the show’s debut, saying that people from both political sides would benefit from watching it.

I don’t know, someone claiming that UFOs are real and somehow transitioning there from a Ukrainian dam explosion doesn’t scream “professional journalist” as much as it does “conspiracy theorist.”

The news host hoped that the social media platform would not “gatekeep” what he had to say. He closes his debut by saying that this show on Twitter would become the “short-wave radio” for the Americans, similar to what he claimed that the Soviet Russians used to learn more about the rest of the world.

Carlson parted ways with Fox News in late April 2023, ending seven years of the Tucker Carlson Tonight show. According to an official statement by Fox News, both the broadcaster and the news host decided to part ways and that it would look for a new host to replace him.

If you want to see this 10-and-a-half-minute-long video, which is pretty much similar to his Fox News Show but with more outlandish claims, it’s still up on his Twitter account.
