What episode of ‘NCIS: Los Angeles’ did Offset appear in?

It was one of the series’ later episodes.

Right now, rapper Offset (whose given name is Kiari Kendrell Cephus) is making headlines due to personal drama. He accused wife Cardi B of cheating on him, has previously been accused of cheating himself, has run into legal trouble. But perhaps most surprisingly — or coincidentally — Offset once played an authority figure who has to resort to dishonest means to succeed, on an episode of NCIS: Los Angeles.

For those unfamiliar or just searching about it now, the 31-year-old popped up on the police procedural, which concluded its run in May, and followed the exploits of the Unites States Naval Criminal Investigative Service’s agents in 2020. On his episode, titled “Alysiyadun,” the musician played Kadri Kashan Khan, an undercover CIA agent stationed in the Middle East to monitor militant activity, and Offset even took part in some stunts as his Khan helped rescue a character who recently joined the main team. At the time, he wanted to play against the expectation that rappers can only play villains or gangsters. Reviewers like TV Fanatic said he was interesting to watch, and it would have been worth it to see more of his character, and he did impress one main performer.

According to LL Cool J (who played Sam Hanna on the show) in a CNN report from the time, Offset approached the show producers about appearing and, while his non-fiction life can be a bit chaotic, when it comes to his roles, he is totally apart from street culture.

“He’s like completely away from all of that.”

Since popping up, Offset has not acted again; his previous appearances on Atlanta and The Masked Singer, were as himself. His character has also not been mentioned in any other CSI episodes and, whether he will try out any more acting remains to be seen. Right now, there are issues with his wife, who he recently said does not know how to dress children. When it comes to acting, generally, he has not appeared to address how much more he will do, while sticking with what made him famous. On IMDB, his next two projects are American Sole, which is in pre-production, and the completed Baby Shark’s Big Movie! CSI will always be his grand debut, and, whatever happens next, will always be something people will be surprised by.

Whether he will continue on with Cardi B is anyone’s guess. The two have previously broken up only to reconcile, have two children together, and in spite of their difficulties, have also managed to create music together, like the song “Clout” in 2019. It touches on people who say things for influence online and, there is no word if that is intended to be a comment on their lives.
