What does Brayden Bowers from ‘Bachelor In Paradise’ do for work?

Spoiler alert: It's not scarf-wearing nor earring-collecting...

If you have been keeping up with season 9 of Bachelor In Paradise, you would know that the one and only Brayden Bowers is arguably the most memorable man on the beach. Wearing scarves in the summer, as well as extremely wacky earrings, this California native is hard to miss!

Brayden got his start within Bachelor Nation as a suitor on season 20 of The Bachelorette, vying for the heart of Charity Lawson. Stirring up quite a bit of trouble as the season progressed, Brayden quit during week four after being unable to handle the process of The Bachelorette, expressing publicly that he wished Charity was not dating other men — yikes!

While Brayden had a strong start on Bachelor In Paradise, serving as one of the first arrivals of the season and quickly forming a connection with Kat Izzo, things quickly took a turn when she severed their relationship to pursue Tanner Courtad instead. In true Brayden fashion, he reverted back to his old ways, causing chaos on the beach and having a temper tantrum after not getting his way.

While the drama with Kat has seemingly come and gone, Brayden found himself in another sticky situation during episode four, this time with Sean McLaughlin. Upon entering paradise, Sean had his eyes set on the stunning Jess Girod, trying to pursue a relationship with her from the very beginning (after all, they are both Swifties). After getting rejected time and time again, the 26-year-old began to form a relationship with former Bachelorette Rachel Recchia instead, however, that came crashing down as soon as Brayden got involved.

When Sean left to have a conversation with Jess, Brayden took it upon himself to flirt with Rachel while he was away. Unfortunately for Sean, Brayden’s definition of flirting meant throwing him under the bus, telling Rachel that her current partner was never interested in her and only had eyes for Jess. Naturally, this caused a little bit of a scuffle between Rachel and Sean, as well as Sean and Brayden, resulting in one giant mess of a love triangle.

Locking lips with the flight instructor at the end of episode four, could there be a future for Brayden and Rachel?

While he may seem like a diamond in the rough, given Brayden’s questionable behavior and eyebrow-raising antics on The Bachelorette and Bachelor In Paradise, you may be thinking the exact same thing as us — who hired THAT guy?

After quite a bit of internet sleuthing, keep scrolling to see what Brayden Bowers’ career looks like beyond the beach. It might just surprise you.

According to his official bio for The Bachelorette, Brayden Bowers works as a travel nurse. For those who are unfamiliar, a travel nurse is a registered nurse works in temporary nursing roles, traveling to different hospitals that may be in need of more staff members — what a kindhearted guy!

While we cannot find exact information as to where Brayden is working now (which is probably for the best), his LinkedIn profile has him defined as a Licensed Practical Nurse at US Army from May of 2017 to present day.

It is safe to assume that this has not been updated in a while, given that he took to Instagram in May of 2023 to announce that he will be stepping away from the US Army:

Since then, Brayden’s Instagram profile (which has amassed nearly 40k followers) shows him traveling the world with his Bachelor Nation buddies, partying it up in San Diego, spending time with his pooch, and more.

Could he still be working as a travel nurse, or did that chapter of his life come to a close? The world may never know.
