‘First Epstein, now Diddy’: Did Leonardo DiCaprio flee the country?

DiCaprio is just one of many A-listers in the crosshairs since Diddy's arrest.

Online posts claim that Leonardo DiCaprio, a known Sean “Diddy” Combs associate, has left the country. In September, Combs was indicted on federal charges while facing more than 100 civil suits stemming from sex trafficking and related allegations.

If true, the obvious implication is that he’d be implicated in Diddy’s crimes. But, at this writing, no legitimate news sources report that DiCaprio has done so, with many online reports stating the FBI has “revealed” the information without providing proof.

Contributing to the speculation, however, DiCaprio controversially dates much younger women, some as young as 19 when DiCaprio was almost 50. After Diddy’s arrest on federal charges, a 1998 picture of Diddy and DiCaprio also resurfaced online showing DiCaprio in a bed at what could be one of Diddy’s so-called “White Parties.”

“White Parties” are now known as “Freak Offs,” according to Diddy’s indictment, where the music executive is accused of drugging and sexually assaulting men, women, and minors, among other crimes.

In 2018, Vogue asked Diddy about his favorite party guest, and Diddy – somewhat suspiciously – answered “Leonardo DiCaprio” without hesitation. Many other A-listers, including Ashton Kutcher, Mariah Carey, and Jennifer Lopez, have been caught up in the Diddy scandal and are alleged to have attended Diddy’s parties.

Meanwhile, years ago, several celebrities, including Usher, Howard Stern, and Ellen DeGeneres, seemed aware of what Diddy’s parties were like, but none of them, DiCaprio included, have faced charges.

So far, DiCaprio hasn’t commented publically on Diddy’s arrest, nor is it clear where the Titanic star is, although there is no verifiable information to suggest he’s no longer in the country. The Irish Star reports that DiCaprio was pictured at Paris Fashion Week in late September, suggesting he was in France but not on the run.

DiCaprio’s latest Instagram post at this writing was on an environmental conservation matter, and the comment section on DiCaprio’s post was filled with Diddy-related accusations like “Leo i am so disappointed in you 👎🏼,” and “First Epstein, now Diddy… I think you are one of the problems here, ‘Leo'”… 🤣” DiCaprio has also been linked to the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, according to The Independent.

While DiCaprio has not spoken out over Diddy, an unnamed source told The Daily Mail the star had “distanced” himself from the hip-hop mogul and hadn’t seen his former friend in years. DiCaprio attended a few of Diddy’s parties in the early 2000s, much like many other stars did at the time, the source said.

The source added, “‘He has nothing to do with any of that world, so for anyone to assume that he will get roped into this based on a few grainy photos that are more than 20 years old is ridiculous.” According to the Mail, DiCaprio was photographed at Diddy’s 50th birthday party in 2019.

Diddy is currently behind bars in New York and has pleaded not guilty to all charges against him. Around the same time that rumors spread that DiCaprio had fled the country, more than 100 women filed additional civil suits against Diddy, added to the 11 suits already filed by women and men accusing the rapper of sexual abuse and other charges.
