Donald Trump hasn’t had a great couple of days. He was booed at the U.S. Open, his deeply creepy birthday letter to Jeffrey Epstein went public, and Israel bombed close U.S. ally Qatar. But beyond all that, perhaps the most shocking moment came at a recent press conference where he dismissed domestic violence as not a real crime.
Trump claims he’s reduced crime in Washington, DC to “virtually nothing”. That “virtually” is because there’s still the pesky fact of domestic abuse, which is apparently ruining his perfect scorecard:

“Much lesser things, things that take place in the home they call crime, you know. They’ll do anything they can to find something. If a man has a little fight with the wife, they say this was a crime see, so now I can’t claim 100%.”
Now, as per comments from best-selling author and journalist Michael Wolff, who’s written several best-selling books about Trump, we may have an idea why he’s so dismissive of domestic violence. Wolff tells a powerfully disturbing story involving Trump, his second wife Marla Maples, and Jeffrey Epstein:

Wolff claims Maples told Trump she was pregnant while they were dating, causing a panicked Trump to run to his bestie Jeffrey Epstein for relationship advice:
“Epstein said ‘she’s lying to you, she’s just trying to get you to marry her’. [Trump] ultimately went to the doctor with Marla Maples and indeed she was pregnant, putting him into a bigger panic. And he went back to Epstein and says ‘now what do I do?’ And Trump said ‘What if I pushed her down the stairs?'”
Well, Donald, in Florida, that would be murder, as state law explicitly recognizes the unborn child as a separate victim to the mother. But, thankfully, voice-of-reason Jeffrey Epstein was apparently there to bring Trump back to the light:
“Epstein said, ‘well you could murder her and then you would go to jail, or perhaps even worse, nothing would happen but you would have pushed her down the stairs and when the divorce happens that would be something she could testify to in court’.”
You should note that in this story, for these two men, the only downside of Maples and her unborn child being pushed down the stairs is that Trump might suffer criminal or financial consequences. Maples herself? The fetus? Basically irrelevant.
How would Wolff know about this?
You might be wondering how Wolff would even know about these conversations. After all, Trump certainly wouldn’t talk about it and Epstein is dead. Well, it’s a fact that Wolff met Epstein on multiple occasions for a series of in-depth interviews starting in 2017.
Epstein apparently wanted to share his insights into Trump’s personality, describing him as “capable of doing anything” with “no scruples.” Wolff has backed up past claims with excerpts from recordings of his Epstein interviews, but the jury is still out on whether this Maples incident actually happened.
After all, Wolff’s source is Jeffrey Epstein, who it’s safe to say hasn’t exactly proven to be the most honorable gentleman on Earth. So you be the judge, does shoving his pregnant girlfriend down the stairs sound like something Trump would actually consider?
