Donald Trump’s ‘closest friend’ refuses to stop being his living nightmare – this time it is happening right outside the White House

Come on, it's a little funny.

A statue showing President Donald J. Trump and Jeffrey Epstein holding hands has popped up right outside the White House, and it’s safe to say the president is not happy about it. The new figures, which were put up on the National Mall in Washington, D.C., are a supposed tribute to Friendship Month, which is apparently in September.

A plaque on the statue also reads, “We celebrate the long-lasting bond between President Donald J. Trump and his ‘closest friend,’ Jeffrey Epstein.” This is something Trump is taking issue with, and he’s not holding back his feelings on the matter, according to TMZ.

It’s a bizarre scene, to be honest. You have these two figures, arm-in-arm, right there for all to see. The plaque adds insult to injury by calling Epstein his “closest friend,” a claim that a White House spokesperson was quick to push back on. According to the statement, “Liberals are free to waste their money however they see fit—but it’s not news that Epstein knew Donald Trump, because Donald Trump kicked Epstein out of his club for being a creep.”

Donald Trump can’t shake his ties with Epstein

That’s a pretty direct and strong statement, but it doesn’t make sense when you consider that Trump has his signature on Epstein’s birthday letter, which the White House keeps denying is real. The president has admitted in the past that he and the now-deceased sex offender were once friends. But he claims that their friendship ended after he found out that his pal was up to no good with young females at his Mar-a-Lago resort.

This is a pretty different reason from what Trump himself said in the past. At one point, he said he banned Epstein from his Florida property because he was hiring away his employees. This must have changed when it was made clear that Trump had some idea what Epstein was doing. The point is, there was a falling out, and the president’s camp is eager to point that out.

The White House spokesperson continued to go after the people behind the statue, saying, “Democrats, the media, and the organization that’s wasting their money on this statue knew about Epstein and his victims for years and did nothing to help them while President Trump was calling for transparency, and is now delivering on it with thousands of pages of documents.” It’s a bit of a political jab, for sure.

It also references the big document dump that the Trump administration released in February. However, that move drew criticism from both sides of the aisle, mostly because the material was largely stuff that was already out there and publicly available. Unfortunately, what was interesting was censored, because Trump doesn’t want you to know how far Epstein really went. The public has been continuously pressuring the administration to release more of the files, with many believing there’s a list somewhere that names Epstein’s clients.
