We all know the tale of how the Trump administration dragged its feet with regards to the release of the Epstein files. In the end we got a highly redacted version of the files (and not all of them at that), but now former MAGA rep, Marjorie Taylor Greene has claimed that the main reason we had to wait so long for the files to be released was because Donald Trump was doing all he could to stop them.
During an appearance on the Home of the Brave podcast, Greene blew the lid on supposed goings on in the White House that the American public had long suspected but never been able to prove. Speaking to podcast host Owen Shroyer, Greene claimed “that fight to release the Epstein files came directly from President Trump.” She went on to clarify, “He fought the hardest to stop these files from being released.”
The former Republican rep previously fell out with Donald Trump over the matter of the files being released last year and the bridge seems well and truly burned now. Now Greene is no longer holding back, making all sorts of accusations against Trump who, this time last year, she would have bent over backwards to defend.
Marjorie Taylor Greene warns MAGA over Epstein
The now retired politician warned other MAGA lawmakers that their response to the Epstein controversy could well cost the Republican party the midterms and she has a point. Not just Americans, but the whole world is watching and they’re not letting this thing go no matter how many times Trump and his cronies beg and plead for us all to just “move on.”
Of course, it can’t be ruled out that Greene is just trying to drag Trump down. What she’s saying is simply her version of events and there’s not a great deal of actual evidence that can be used to back up her side of the story. However, the fact that the president’s name appears in the files so many times kind of lines up with her story. It’s easy to imagine Trump trying to bury the files to protect himself.
Now that most (but nowhere near all) of the files are public people are calling for the DOJ and the FBI to investigate those named. Trump is a particular person of interest to many but despite this, it seems the authorities have no interest in pursuing the information from the files.
Pam Bondi and Kash Patel, the heads of the DOJ and the FBI, have vehemently defended Trump and seem ignorant to the plight of the Epstein survivors so we may never know if what Greene is claiming is true or not.
