Hillary Clinton shocking denial on Epstein makes little sense and sets up Bill for the fall

The Epstein connections aren't going away that easily!

Hillary Clinton recently said she doesn’t “recall ever encountering” Jeffrey Epstein, while also accusing the House Oversight Committee of trying to “distract attention from President Trump‘s actions.” This testimony is raising questions, especially with her husband Bill Clinton set for his own deposition later this week.

In her opening statement, Clinton criticized the committee for its approach. She said a committee truly focused on stopping human trafficking should be looking at the systemic failures that allowed Epstein to commit his crimes back in 2008, and argued that is not what is happening here.

Clinton also claimed she was forced to testify despite having no relevant knowledge to offer the investigation. She denied having any knowledge of the crimes committed by Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell, and explicitly linked her testimony to what she called a political effort to cover up President Trump’s activities.

The Clintons’ connection to Epstein is more complicated than Hillary’s denial suggests

The Clintons had initially pushed for a public hearing, but Committee Chair James Comer, a Republican Congressman from Kentucky, said closed-door interviews are standard procedure before any public hearings.

The DOJ has also recently admitted it may have illegally withheld parts of the Epstein files, adding further pressure on all parties involved. This is not the first time the Clintons have faced scrutiny from this committee.

Last year, the House Oversight Committee threatened to hold them in contempt of Congress. Hillary has consistently said that both she and Bill have very little information that could help the investigation into Epstein. Neither Bill nor Hillary has been accused of committing any crimes connected to Epstein.

However, Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein’s associate, has made some notable claims. She stated that the Clintons were her personal friends, not Epstein’s. Maxwell also said that Bill Clinton was only allowed to use Epstein’s private plane for flights to Clinton Foundation events at her specific request.

These claims add a different layer to the story, suggesting a different kind of relationship than what might have been assumed. Meanwhile, Epstein’s brother stormed out of his Piers Morgan interview after saying he doesn’t care about the files or his brother’s victims, showing how tense this entire situation remains. It will be important to see what comes out of Bill Clinton’s deposition this Friday, given all these details.

But, frankly, Bill Clinton has wriggled his way out of stickier situations before, so we’re sure “Slick Willy” will cruise through MAGA’s incompetent interrogation.
