Donald Trump has crossed a line that even Megyn Kelly, his loyal cheerleader, can’t ignore

Megyn Kelly finally talking some sense.

Conservative political commentator Megyn Kelly has come out with a statement criticizing Trump for his strikes on Iran, claiming that the U.S. president should not have gotten the country involved in the conflict and that American soldiers were dying for Iran and Israel.

Kelly has long been one of Trump’s most loyal and deranged supporters, excusing every terrible thing the president has done or been accused of. In short, she’s MAGA through and through, but it turns out even she has a line and apparently that line is dragging Americans into an unnecessary war.

Speaking on The Megyn Kelly Show, the commentator brought up the U.S. service members who have died in Iran so far saying “No one should have to die for a foreign country.” She went on to claim “I don’t think those four service members died for the United States,” but rather “they died for Iran or for Israel.”

Kelly’s main concern with U.S. involvement in the conflict is that she believes that it has nothing to do with American citizens, “Our government’s job is not to look out for Iran or for Israel. It’s to look out for us.” Usually Kelly has staunchly defended almost everything Trump has done, but it seems that she does have some principles she will stand up for, even if those principles are still twisted and warped by hatred.

Megyn Kelly and other MAGA influencers are abandoning Trump

Whatever the case, this marks a clear shift in how the president and his administration are being perceived. In the past few days we’ve seen multiple alt-right commentators like Nick Fuentes turn on Trump, a sure sign that the MAGA movement is eating itself from the inside.

On X, plenty agreed with Kelly’s take, “Finally she speaks sense,” wrote one person, adding that Trump was in “big trouble.” However, Kelly did clarify on her show that she still supports Trump, but that she doesn’t think it’s unpatriotic to condemn the conflict. However, Trump himself seems to be treating it as a more severe betrayal.

The president himself has brushed off her criticisms. According to an article from the Independent. Trump addressed criticisms from Kelly as well as Tucker Carlson claiming he still has the support of the people, “I think that MAGA is Trump — MAGA’s not the other two. MAGA wants to see our country thrive and be safe. And MAGA loves what I’m doing — every aspect of it…” That sounds like denial to me but OK.

The facts are this: Trump’s support is at an all time low and criticisms from prominent MAGA voices like Kelly are just proof that the winds are changing. It seems nobody wants a part in this conflict in the Middle East and Trump’s decision to get involved may very well have sealed his own fate.
