Texas woman says her Ring camera caught an Amazon driver leading her dog out of the yard and handing it to a stranger nearby

The dog is reportedly at home now.

A Texas woman says she was left confused after her Ring doorbell camera appeared to show an Amazon delivery driver picking up her dog’s leash and walking the animal out of her yard. A

Brobible reported that she shared the story via a series of now-deleted TikTok videos. The first video, which TikTok user Kayla, who goes by the handle @kaaylaab1. According to BroBible, the video had accumulated 4.5 million views before it was removed. In the video, accompanied by the viral “and the saxophones got louder” audio, the delivery driver reportedly can be seen approaching the dog in what Kayla described as her back porch area, picking up its leash, and walking away with it.

“Girl my cat is too! And the Amazon worker just touching all my pets I’m thinking she went to go get my dog from the back ATP,” Kayla wrote in one video’s description, responding to a commenter who noted that her dog appeared to be friendly.

The driver allegedly took the dog from the backyard and handed it to a stranger without ever knocking on the owner’s door

A second follow-up clip, also from her Ring camera, purportedly showed the driver encouraging the dog to approach her before leading the animal away from the property. Ring cameras have also drawn attention for other reasons, including concerns about how they monitor users and neighbors.

Kayla reportedly said the driver did not knock on her door or ring her doorbell before taking the dog. She also pointed out that a dog bowl was visible on the porch and that another dog was tied up nearby, which she said should have indicated to the driver that the dog belonged to someone at the property. Kayla questioned why the driver did not ring the doorbell if she was trying to locate the owner.

Kayla further claimed that the driver did not contact the police or an animal shelter. Instead, she said the driver walked the dog to a man around the corner and gave it to him. In a later follow-up, Kayla reportedly said she eventually recovered her dog and that the man who received the animal returned it. She said the man told her the driver had asked him if the dog was his.

However, Kayla noted that the driver did not knock on her door but did reportedly knock on the door of the man she gave the dog to, which Kayla described as not making sense. “Why would she give my dog to a random person?” Kayla said in one of her follow-up videos. “Why would she not take any of the proper precautions? It makes no sense.”

Kayla also addressed those who suggested the driver may have been trying to help, saying she was not certain about the driver’s intentions but maintained that the driver’s actions were wrong regardless. “The person that she gave [the dog] to gave it back to us. How he knew the dog lived here we still don’t know — that’s a mystery as well. Everything about the story is strange,” she said.

She also said the dog did not respond when the driver called it, suggesting to her that the dog did not go willingly. This dispute over property boundaries echoes other neighbor-related conflicts, such as one homeowner’s experience dealing with a neighbor repeatedly driving on their lawn.

Reaction in the comments was apparently divided. Many viewers reportedly sided with the driver, arguing that the dog appeared to be on a busy street without a fence or its owner present, and that the driver had done the right thing.

On the bright side, Amazon told BroBible, “We’re looking into it, but glad the dog remained safe and has been returned home according to the original poster.” Kayla described the overall situation as “very weird and strange” and said she still does not fully understand why the driver handled it the way she did.
