AOC’s decade-long relationship reportedly ended. So a looksmaxxing star wasted no time making his move: ‘I can fix her’

AOC was asked about him last month.

Reports surfaced this week that Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has split from her longtime fiancé, Riley Roberts. The couple met while attending Boston University at 19 and dated for more than a decade, with Roberts proposing during a trip to Puerto Rico in 2022.

Looksmaxxing influencer Clavicular, whose real name is Braden Peters, responded to the news within hours. Reacting to a TMZ post about the split on Wednesday, the 20-year-old wrote on X, “I can fix her.”

He then repeated the message during a livestream, saying he would marry Ocasio-Cortez while making comments aimed at Roberts, reports Complex.

AOC and Clavicular previously disagreed over the looksmaxxing trend

This is not the first public exchange between the two. Last month, Ocasio-Cortez was asked about Clavicular and the looksmaxxing movement that made him well known. Rather than criticize him directly, she said she was concerned about young men becoming consumed by their appearance and facing the same body-image pressures that have long affected women.

She added that trying to improve one’s looks or confidence was not a problem on its own, but said self-worth should not be based only on physical appearance. She has taken similar positions on other hot-button issues, including distancing herself from past police-abolition views she once held.

Clavicular pushed back on her comments at the time. He has repeatedly said that looksmaxxing covers more than the extreme practices often linked to his name. During a July appearance on “Hang Out with Sean Hannity,” he described it as “the most well-rounded form of self-improvement,” saying it includes regular fitness along with a greater focus on facial appearance.

He also said that media coverage tends to focus on practices like “bone smashing,” calling that “such a small focus” of what he actually talks about.

According to TMZ, although news of the AOC and Roberts breakup came out this week, the relationship reportedly ended about two years ago. Questions about Ocasio-Cortez and Roberts’ relationship status grew after she recently spoke about freezing her eggs and future family planning without mentioning Roberts.

Clavicular’s comments about AOC add to a busy few months for the influencer. In June, he opened the Spring/Summer 2027 presentation for the brand 424 during Paris Fashion Week, walking as the first look at the Jardin des Archives Nationales. He was also photographed in Paris with OnlyFans creator Sophie Rain during that trip.

More recently, former Disney star Skai Jackson criticized his online persona, calling him “one of the most insecure people that I have seen” and accusing him of being racist. Public breakups often draw wide attention online, as seen in a separate story about a man whose three-year relationship ended abruptly shortly after a costly gift.

Clavicular has also addressed more serious claims about his rise to fame. During his Hannity interview, he denied reports that an April livestream collapse was caused by a drug overdose. He said instead that he had consumed too much alcohol without eating and “just knocked out a little bit.”
